About

I created this photo journal to document my last year in Peace Corps. For most volunteers there's an exponetial decay in blog posts over the course of their service, and I was no expection to this.  In the first three months after PST I posted almost 15 long detailed enteries. Everything about life here was facienating and I had ample time on my hands to write about it.  As I became more and more integrated into my community not only did the novilty of everything wear off, but I became way to busy to write long exposes about life here. And then as one year turned into two the things I wanted to say seemed like they never could be captured in a blog post, no matter how long.

So on June 30, 2010 I deceided I'd create an archive of my last year here through a picture a day.  Hopefully by focusing on one small thing each day by the end of the year I'll have painted a more complete picture of what it's like to be a 24 year old PCV living in a South African township.
